Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have revealed details around three highly collectable new expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions, the LEGO toy and videogame hybrid, that will be available on May 10, 2017. The Goonies Level Pack, the Harry Potter Fun Pack and LEGO City Fun Pack will broaden the selection of the world’s most popular entertainment brands available for the game, allowing players to customize their experience by mixing and matching favorite characters and universes with full compatibility. In addition, LEGO minifigures included within each of these expansion packs come with special golden Toy Tags which unlock a free play Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand, as well as a Battle Arena that can be reached through Vorton. Each Battle Arena is unique to the world of the character used to unlock it and features competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players, with four exciting gameplay modes including Capture the Flag, Objective, Base Bash, and Tick, Tag, Boom!.

The Goonies Level Pack includes a complete level of The Goonies gameplay where players can help Sloth and Chunk escape the Fratelli hideout and join the rest of the Goonies on their search for One Eyed Willy’s treasure. Players can use Sloth’s Super Strength to smash through walls or play as Chunk and use his infamous Truffle Shuffle. The rebuildable One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship will sail on water and can also be built into the Fanged Fortune and the Inferno Cannon; while the rebuildable Skeleton Organ has Sonar Smash abilities and can also be built into the Skeleton Jukebox and Skele-Turkey for added game play capabilities. Sloth provides access to a new The Goonies Battle Arena, and also the Adventure World where players can explore Mikey’s House, Inferno Cove and the Goon Docks. Once the level is complete, players will be able to replay through the game and other levels as any of the seven other Goonies characters to solve additional puzzles and access more collectibles in their journey through the LEGO multiverse.

Players can extend their wizarding adventures in LEGO Dimensions with the Harry Potter Fun Pack which includes a Hermione Granger LEGO minifigure. She can cast magical spells such as Wingardium Leviosa to levitate objects and Lumos to light up dark places. She also allows players to unlock the Harry Potter Battle Arena for a competitive match, along with the Adventure World where they can explore locations in Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Players can build the 3-in-1 rideable Buckbeak the Hippogriff and use its Stomp Attack to smash Silver LEGO bricks, then rebuild it into the Giant Owl and the Fierce Falcon for additional in-game abilities.

Players can help stop crime in the LEGO Dimensions multiverse with the LEGO City Fun Pack featuring a Chase McCain LEGO minifigure. Chase can become a Miner to break Silver LEGO bricks or a Fireman to use his Water Beam to put out fires. Gamers can use his LEGO City Detective Scanner to track down bad guys and change his disguise to unlock more abilities. In the LEGO City Adventure World, there are new areas to explore like Blackwell’s moon base and the LEGO City Police Department. Players can also compete with up to three of their friends in the LEGO City Battle Arena. Additionally, Chase’s 3-in-1 Police Helicopter can be built to fire off bolts, then rebuild it into the Police Hovercraft and Police Plane for additional in-game abilities.

Lego Dimensions continues to go from strength to strength adding big brands to the world. This time around it’s the mysterious realm of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that has made its way into Lego Dimensions.

Warner Bros Entertainment have released a new story trailer that shows what to expect from the Fantastic Beasts expansion.

In the latest Story Pack for Lego Dimensions, the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them make their debut as Lego characters and critters. Players can experience memorable scenes from the film firsthand in Lego Dimensions, set in a magical 1920’s New York, or take the Fantastic Beasts folks into other entertainment universes.

In the trailer, watch as a Lego Newt Scamander encounters some otherworldly fantastic beasts like Gollum and Scooby Doo.

Lego Dimensions and the Fantastic Beasts Story Pack is available on PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, Ps3 and Xbox 360.

Fans also can create a customised Skylanders Imaginator T-shirt featuring an image of their very own creation. Availability of these items varies by location, and not all features are available at game launch.

With the next major update to Destiny, Destiny: Rise of Iron now less than a week away, Bungie have just released their launch trailer.

Set to feature an epic new Cinematic story campaign centered around a returning plague that took with it the Iron Lords, Rise of Iron sees your Guardian fighting against the returning plague to stand where the Iron Lord’s no longer can to take down the evil lurking. Guardians will explore The Plaguelands, check out Feltwinter Peak (the new social hub), take part in a new 6 player Raid and join in new and remastered Strikes. Through in some new weapons and gear and Rise of Iron looks set to keep Destiny at the front of gamers minds and fill the void as we await Destiny 2.

Award-winning developer, Telltale Games have today released the retail version of Batman – The Telltale Series in North America. Retail copies will hit shelves in Europe starting from 16 September, with New Zealand due for a 28 September release.

The retail version will sell in New Zealand for $59.99, available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. For the price of entry, the season pass disc features the first 5 episodes of the season with the following 4 to be available by digital download for free when they are released.

“Since premiering BATMAN – The Telltale Series last month, we’ve been thrilled by the reception from both BATMAN fans new to Telltale, and those already familiar with our model for interactive storytelling,” said Kevin Bruner, CEO and Co-Founder of Telltale Games. “This week, we’re happy to offer the game on a special disc at retailers worldwide, just in time for the gripping second episode launching September 20, which will influence the course of the season depending on the different paths players may take.”

The feature is designed to allow 2-24 or more players to enjoy episodes together in their living rooms, and will also accommodate much larger crowds and audiences of over 1,000 at special upcoming live events in theaters organized by Telltale. Crowd Play allows for a new and instantly accessible way for players to enjoy Telltale entertainment together as a group, creating an experience that continues to break new ground in the space between games and interactive cinematic storytelling.

Today, Koei Tecmo have announced the release of their fast paced action game, A.O.T Wings of Freedom. A.O.T Wings of Freedom is based on the wildly successful anime, Attack on Titan and is released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PS Vita and through Steam on PC.

A.O.T. Wings of Freedom successfully replicates the claustrophobic atmosphere and fast paced battles of ‘Attack on Titan’, following Eren, Mikasa and Armin through the events of the anime’s first season. Players are able to not only experience the story of the gripping first season, but witness exhilarating battles which go deeper into the ‘Attack on Titan’ universe.

The Titan-slaying gear; the Omni-Directional Manoeuver Gear, blades, and scabbard will be key to slaying the eerily human-like Titans. Each can be enhanced at the camp between missions on Single and Multiplayer modes, improving movement speed, blade durability and improved anchors to improve their chances against the Titans.

Players can fight as fan-favourite characters such as Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Levi, as well as take control of Eren’s powerful Titan form. Replacing Titan-slaying gear for devastating melee attacks, this mode offers a unique change of gameplay, where they can get up close and personal with the gigantic human-like creatures.

Interactive Entertainment at San Diego Comic-Con revealed details around six highly collectable expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions, the LEGO toy and videogame hybrid, that will be available in the Wave 7 product release on November 18, 2016. Led by the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack and the Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, the new packs broaden the selection of the world’s most popular entertainment brands allowing players to customise their experience by mixing and matching favourite characters and universes with full compatibility. LEGO minifigures included in all of the wave 6-9 expansion packs will come with special, golden Toy Tags which unlock a Battle Arena within the Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand. All-new Battle Arenas will offer first-to-LEGO videogames competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players. Each Battle Arena has four gameplay modes and comes with its own traps, special powers and interactive environments that make every battle arena unique.

The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack will provide a complete movie-based gameplay experience with six action-packed levels and new LEGO Gateway bricks to build the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) atop the LEGO Toy Pad. Players can build the Newt Scamander LEGO minifigure and help him find his escaped magical creatures in New York City and use a variety of spells, including Diffindo, Reparo and Lumos. Telltale Games announced today that information about the much anticipated third season of The Walking Dead games will be announced at this coming E3 of 2016.

Since the end of season two back in 2014, fans have been eagerly awaiting any new information about the upcoming season. One thing fans knew for certain was that new information would surface after The Walking Dead: Michonne miniseries released its final episode on 26 April.

In spite of many questioning the necessity of the Michonne miniseries, Job J Stauffer tweeted back in November 2015 that “you WILL want to play (it) before S3…”, leaving fans curious as to how the miniseries will fit into the season three story-line.

Season three will premiere sometime in the fall (US time). It will “take the series in an unexpected direction” and “…will serve as both a bold new entry point for the story, as well as a continuation of the saga that began with Lee and Clementine in 2012.”

Episode six of Telltale Games’ Minecraft Story Mode is set for release June 7th.

In their latest adventure “A Portal to Mystery”, the heroes “land themselves in another strange new world — one completely overrun by zombies. With a timely invitation to take refuge in a spooky mansion, they find themselves thrown into a thrilling mystery alongside famous members of the Minecraft community.”

Such familiar faces jumping over from their YouTube communities are StacyPlays, LDShadowlady, CaptainSparklez, Stampy Cat and DanTDM. All five YouTubers are well known for their lets plays of Minecraft.

Because episode six will tell its own adventure, players are only required to import the first episode of the game if they please.
