It was a big morning for Apple with iPhone X the star of the show but early in the announcement, Apple took the wraps off the newest version of Apple TV with Apple TV 4K.

Of course to access the 4K content you will need a 4K TV and a lot of the features on Apple TV like 4K Netflix you will more than likely be able to access through the Netflix app on your TV but it’s the extra features of Apple TV 4K that really look set to shake things up.

Apple 4K TV will support both HDR10 and Dolby Vision which again is a feature that requires TV support in order to deliver HDR or Dolby Vision content. Beyond that though, Apple iTunes is set to become a major force in 4K content delivery. 4K movies through iTunes will cost the same as HD movies and anyone that currently owns an HD movie that is also available in 4K will have their movie upgraded to 4K for free.
