Fitbit and Diabetes have worked together to raise money for diabetes. There is still time to sign up<\/a>, get the challenge steps in and encourage participants to explore their backyard and give some of the beautiful hikes and walks we have in our regions a go!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To mark Diabetes Action Month, Diabetes NZ<\/a> and Fitbit<\/a> are launching the first ever \u2018Step up 250K Challenge\u2019 to get Kiwis fit, active, and to fundraise for Diabetes NZ. People are being asked to take 250,000 steps in November, or about 8,300 steps a day \u2013 a great goal for those who\u2019ve had their exercise routines disrupted by lockdown. The initiative aims to raise funds and promote healthy lifestyle habits, which have a positive effect on the prevention and management of diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
